“Spring is sprung, the grass is ris…. I wonder where the birdies is….”
I’m not sure where I first heard that ‘ditty’ but Spring is my favourite season. We are currently trekking through various states, heading towards British Columbia where some special people await our arrival!! Watch for pictures, and thanks for praying. The trip has been uneventful and we have seen once again the majesty of God’s creation in this new season of the year.
In his letter, Peter uses ‘grass’ as an illustration of the frailty of people. He reminds Christ-followers, God’s ‘elect’ that they have been born again by a seed which is imperishable.
Praise God for what HE has done! Enjoy the new seaon and thank God for His word which far outlats any grass or beautiful spring flowers.
22 Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart.23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.24 For,
“All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, 25 but the word of the Lord endures forever.”
Born and raised in Northern Ontario. Born again as a child and have had the privilege of serving God in various churches and ministries. I serve as the Director of Church Initiatives, Distance Learning & Internships at Heritage College & Theological Seminary. My passion is to follow the example of Ezra in Ezra 7:10 who devoted himself to STUDY, to DO and to TEACH GOD's WORD. To God be the glory!
